Polymarkets Kenya

Polymarkets Kenya is operated by Lexai Technologies. This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it. It is intended to align with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.

Information we collect

Account details — username, full name, email, and phone number you provide at sign-up.
Financial activity — deposits, withdrawals, trades, positions and balances.
Payment data — the M-Pesa phone number used and provider transaction references.
Technical data — IP address and device/user-agent, used for security and fraud prevention.

How we use it

To operate your account, process deposits/withdrawals, and settle markets.
To protect the platform — fraud prevention, rate-limiting and abuse detection.
To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
To provide support and respond to disputes.

Payment information

Deposits and withdrawals are processed through M-Pesa (Safaricom Daraja). We store the phone number and transaction references needed to reconcile payments. Phone numbers are masked in the interface. We do not store your M-Pesa PIN.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with payment providers (to process transactions), and where required by law or lawful request from a competent authority.

Retention & security

Financial records are retained as required for accounting and regulatory compliance. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes; access to systems is restricted and audited.
